Refund Policy
Version 1.0 — Last updated 6 August 2026
The short version. You can request a refund within 14 days of your purchase. Your free trial costs nothing, and you can cancel your subscription at any time.
1. Who you are buying from
MarginChief is sold through Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd, 30 Old Bailey, London EC4M 7AU), which acts as merchant of record and authorised reseller. Paddle takes your payment, issues your receipt or invoice, appears on your card statement, and processes refunds. CloudRev Intelligence Ltd licenses the software to you.
Two documents apply to a purchase: this policy and our Terms and Conditions, which cover your use of MarginChief; and Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Refund Policy, which cover the transaction itself.
2. Refund window
You may request a refund within 14 days of the date of your transaction. This applies to subscription payments and to credit purchases.
Requests are made to Paddle and are handled in accordance with Paddle’s Refund Policy.
Where your local law gives you a statutory withdrawal or cancellation right, that right applies in addition to this policy, and the higher level of protection always applies. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
3. How to request a refund
Use any of the following:
- the View receipt or Manage subscription link in your purchase confirmation email;
- the support link in your receipt or on your account billing page; or
- paddle.net and select Request refund.
Refunds are made to the original payment method where possible, and within 14 days of approval.
You can also email us at info@marginchief.com and we will help you raise the request.
4. Free trial
New customers get a free trial of the length shown at signup. We ask for a payment method up front, but nothing is charged during the trial.
If you cancel before the trial ends, you pay nothing. If you do not cancel, your chosen subscription starts automatically when the trial ends. We will email you before that happens.
5. Cancelling your subscription
You can cancel at any time from your account settings, or through the Manage subscription link in your confirmation email. No notice period and no cancellation fee.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You keep full access until then and you are not charged again.
6. Credits
Credits are prepaid units you can buy to process documents beyond the allowance in your plan. They are bought through Paddle in the same way as your subscription, and the 14-day refund window in section 2 applies to them.
How they are used. Your plan allowance is used first. Credits are drawn on once that allowance is exhausted, oldest first.
Where to find what a credit buys. When you buy credits or a plan, the product description shown at checkout tells you what you are getting: the price, the allowances, the limits, and how much processing a credit buys. That description is the offer you are accepting, and your receipt records it.
If we change what a credit buys. We may change the amount of processing a credit buys, on 30 days’ notice sent to your account email. The updated position appears in the product description the next time you buy. If the change reduces what a credit buys, you can ask us within 30 days of that notice for a refund of any credits you have not used, at the price you paid. This is in addition to the 14-day window in section 2.
If we end your subscription. If we terminate for any reason other than your breach, or if you leave because we changed your plan or your credits in a way you did not accept, we refund the price you paid for any credits you have not used. This is also in addition to section 2.
7. If something is wrong with the service
If MarginChief is not working as described, contact us first at info@marginchief.com. We will try to fix it.
If we cannot, you can raise the matter with Paddle, who will deal with it under their refund policy and applicable consumer protection law.
8. Before you raise a chargeback
Please contact us or Paddle first. A chargeback takes far longer to resolve than a refund request, and access to MarginChief may be suspended while your bank reviews it. This does not affect your lawful right to dispute a charge.
9. Business customers
MarginChief is sold to businesses. Statutory consumer withdrawal rights generally apply to consumers rather than businesses, but where you are entitled to them, they apply in full and this policy does not limit them.
