Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under applicable data protection laws (including the UK GDPR and EU GDPR) to:
- Request access to personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate personal data
- Request deletion of personal data
- Request restriction of processing
- Object to certain processing
- Request portability of personal data you provided to us
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
These rights are not absolute and may be subject to legal exceptions.
How to submit a request
To exercise your rights, email us at info@marginchief.com with the subject line “Data Request” and include:
- Your full name and the email address associated with your inquiry or account
- The type of request (access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability)
- Enough detail for us to locate the relevant records
- Any supporting context (for example company name or approximate dates of contact)
You may also use our Contact form and clearly mark the message as a data request.
Identity verification
To protect privacy, we may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request. We will only ask for information reasonably necessary to confirm you are the person to whom the data relates (or an authorized representative).
Timing
We aim to respond within one month of receiving a valid request. If a request is complex or we receive a high volume of requests, we may extend this by up to two further months where permitted by law, and we will inform you if that happens.
Authorized agents
If you submit a request on someone else’s behalf, we may require proof of authorization and identity for both the agent and the data subject.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handled your request, you can contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
